Ilya Zaslavskiy is a distinguished expert in due diligence, sanctions, kleptocracy, energy regulation, and political risks. His expertise spans anti-corruption, policy reform in mineral extraction, corporate governance, climate change, and advocacy for robust policies against post-Soviet kleptocracy, particularly Kremlin-connected oligarchs.
With a rich background, Ilya has held key positions at CIPE, Free Russia Foundation, Chatham House, Legatum Institute, and other leading think tanks. He has collaborated with the Atlantic Council, Hudson Institute, and others, contributing significantly to critical issues.
His experience includes work on climate change at RCF and involvement in the gas business stream at TNK-BP in Moscow. Ilya holds a BA in Modern History, an MPhil in International Relations from Oxford, and an Executive Master of Management in Energy from BI Norwegian Business School.
