Nik Meeusen has more than a decade of experience in climate policy, coalition-building, strategic advocacy, and programme development. He previously served as Head of Network at Bond Beter Leefmilieu, the federation of environmental organisations in Flanders (Belgium). There, he worked with more than 140 organisations to strengthen collective impact, public mobilisation, and policy influence. Nik brought together civil society organisations, businesses and governments on a broad range of policy issues, including climate and energy policy, mobility, industrial transition, circular economy biodiversity, and environmental health.
His work increasingly focuses on the intersection of climate, geopolitics, democracy, and energy security, particularly in relation to Ukraine and Europe’s clean energy transition. Nik divides his time between Kyiv, London and Brussels.
