Ivan Hortal Sanchez is an EU Campaigner advocating for banning Russian fossil fuels. His professional career has been devoted to human rights, environmental issues and foreign policy. Prior to joining Razom We Stand, Ivan was an Advisor on Foreign Affairs at the Greens/EFA group in the European Parliament. He also worked at the NGO Civil Rights Defenders and at the EU Delegation to North Macedonia.

Ivan holds a double Bachelor’s degree in Law and Political Science from the University of Barcelona, a Master’s degree in Public International Law from the University of Amsterdam and a Master’s degree in European Interdisciplinary Studies at the College of Europe in Warsaw.
