Dr Svitlana Romanko is the Founder and Executive Director of the “Razom We Stand” organisation. She is an award-winning Ukrainian campaigner and climate movement strategist. Ms. Romanko successfully initiated and managed the Stand With Ukraine campaign, which has been supported by over 800 hundred organisations on continents spanning the entire planet to end the fossil fuel addiction that feeds Putin’s war machine, create a comprehensive ban on all fossil fuel exports from Russia, and rebuild Ukraine as a shining model of the clean energy transition.
Svitlana holds a PhD in Environmental Law, Climate Change Law, Climate Governance, and Climate Policy, and has been an environmental law professor for over 15 years. She has been an established leader of many major organisations, including 350.org and Green Deal projects across Eastern Europe. Ms. Romanko’s work at the Laudato Si Movement resulted in the largest faith institution divestment from fossil fuels ever, worth over $6 billion.
