Valeriya Izhyk

Advisor on the EU affairs

Valeriya Izhyk is an advisor on the EU affairs working on the green and inclusive reconstruction of Ukraine, currently based in Brussels.  She was the youngest civil servant joining the Directorate General for Strategic Planning and European Integration in public administration reform in Ukraine. Since the Russian full-scale invasion, she coordinated the Electricity Working Group at the Council of European Energy Regulators, assisting in synchronising Ukraine with the Continental Europe Power system.

Valeriya’s primary goal is to influence European decision-makers and other donors to ensure that Ukraine is rebuilt up to sustainable standards with the Ukrainian people’s interests in mind. She is a graduate of the European Politics MA program at the College of Europe. Valeriya also promotes “build-back-better” reconstruction as a European Climate Pact Ambassador.
