Advisor on the EU affairs

Valeriya Izhyk is an Advisor for the European Institutions’ advocacy working on the EU’s embargo on Russian fossil fuels. She became the youngest civil servant to join the Directorate-General for Strategic Planning and European Integration in the public administration reform in Ukraine. Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion, she has coordinated the Electricity Working Group at the Council of European Energy Regulators, helping to synchronize Ukraine with the Continental European energy system.

Valeriya’s main goal is to identify and research key stakeholders in European institutions that influence decision-making on the embargo on Russian fossil fuels. She is a graduate of the Master’s program in European Politics at the College of Europe and a current ambassador of the European Climate Pact.
