New Infrastructure Plan, First-in-the-World Clean Energy Data Center to be Built in Ukraine

Razom We Stand, a leading Ukrainian clean energy NGO, announced today at New York Climate Week plans to construct the world’s first and only AI data processing center built entirely on renewable energy.

Dr Svitlana Romanko, Founder and Executive Director of Razom We Stand, said:

“As Ukraine prepares for what the nation looks like at the conclusion of the Russian invasion, the country is looking ahead to the future, and eager to participate in the evolution of sustainable infrastructure development.”
“This data center project will not only replace outdated coal plants with clean, renewable energy, but it will also send the appropriate signals to Europe that the days of energy dependence on Russian oil and gas are completely over.”

“This project is unique, in part, because it also addresses a lot of other core infrastructure needs that have resulted from Russian aggression inside Ukraine,” added Maxim Bevz, Chief Technical Officer at Razom We Stand. “We’re thrilled to cast this vision alongside our partners in the U.S. and Ukraine and look forward to breaking ground on this world-changing pursuit.”

The new data center will be built in partnership and coordination with corporate partners in the United States, though those details, and more information about projected capacities, costs, and timeline will be announced soon.
