As Russia takes advantage of Trump’s punishment of Ukraine by withholding military support and intelligence, Russia last night launched a major attack on Ukraine in which it deployed 261 missiles and drones that targeted energy and gas infrastructure in various regions, according to Ukrainian officials.
Ukraine-based international campaign group Razom We Stand welcomes reports that the Trump administration is considering tariffs, or sanctions, and demands that the aggressor Russia be held accountable for it’s brutal overnight attacks on Ukraine.

“Russia unleashed this brutal war, but instead of holding the aggressor accountable, President Trump’s actions have only deepened the suffering of Ukraine’s victims. By halting intelligence sharing, he gave Russia a clearer path to target us, leading to more devastation and loss of life. We, Ukrainians, have endured endless war crimes and fought tirelessly for peace. It’s time for Trump to focus on the true aggressor. Full sanctions on Russian fossil fuel exports and shutting down their shadow fleet are essential steps to cut off Putin’s war machine. Stop punishing Ukraine—hold Russia accountable for its atrocities.”
Razom We Stand calls on President Trump to:
- Implement a full ban on Russian LNG exports
- Crackdown on the shadow fleet by sanctioning all vessels transporting Russian oil and gas without proper insurance.
- Align sanctions enforcement across the US, EU, UK, and G7 to close loopholes that allow Russian fossil fuel revenues to flow.
